Dehumidifier & mold- how long until the current growth dies?

_ asked:

My landlord just installed a dehumidifier in the basement where we found small mold growth on anything wooden and on the floor. I got rid of everything that can be tossed with the exception of the floor of course. It’s concrete. Anyways, if I run a dehumidifier non-stop, will the mold die? Will it be likely that it won’t reappear if it still runs? Thanks!
