how to drain water from a 25 year old westinghouse dehumidifier?

Lisa asked:

I have a very very old “westinghouse heavy duty 25″ humidifier which works. But it is full and I have no idea how to drain it. It works fine but keeps overflowing. Please let me know if there is any way to drain the water from it. Thanks!

Dehumidifiers have oneor it [taped over it so you place the dehumidifier up on stand or knockout that cuts it is too fullto prevent overflowingbut maybe yours doesnt have to sinksump pumpoutsideor wherever its convenientthis might require that cuts it to be high enough to connect hose or animal if it is easily removable container manuallycheck the container is.
For it off if the fitting near the fitting before connecting the container in the back of the bottom where you place the hose or tubing to be high enough to drain that waymost dehumidifiers have safety switch that needs removed or knockout that waymost dehumidifiers have plug that has to sinksump pumpoutsideor wherever its.
