How to get rid of old house odors?

Me and my family just moved into a 3000 square foot 1960’s home. It smells horribly of old home and smoke!! we already remodeled the kitchen, and got dehumidifiers for the basement. The people who lived here before refinished the wood floors 5 years ago and the walls were all painted white. we have had our A/C fixed, but we haven’t cleaned the ducts yet. any suggestions on how to get rid of this god awful smell?

For every room in the house they work great.
The windows open so some fresh air will come in the windows open so some glade plug ins for every room in and buy some glade plug.
