How to properly operate/program dehumidifier while we are away?

We bought a dehumidief at a walmart (that’s the only retailer within 45 miles in rural western maryland) to use in the basement of our vacation log home. It had settings for both cycle (2 or 4 hours on and off) and percent humidity (ranges from 35 to 70 I think). We connected it to a drain with a hose, so tank capacity is not a question. We bought it because there was a lot of condensation on the pipes and the well pressure tank in the basement. How should we set it to run while we are away (sometimes for weeks)? The manual is of no help. It’s Goldstar brand made by LG. Should we set both the cycle & humidity percent? Is it normal to leave dehumidier running for long periods of time? Any other tips on proper operation would be appreciated. It said something in the manual about not using in temperatures less than 65 degrees. The basement is always cold, with temperatures in the low-to-mid sixties. Thanks!
