in 2 weeks i will be going on a business trip that is going to be a week long. in that week would mold grow seeing as how i cant empty out the dehumidifier. i collect a gallon about every 15-18 hours.

This is my first, so I”m not sure what I”m doing as of yet. Would a humidifier be needed? I know people use dehumidifiers in basements, but I don’t find our basement very damp. What’s the use for humidifiers and babies?

I have a bit of a bug problem in my furnished basement.. i usually see a house centipede every other week and i have a problem getting rid of them.. someone suggested that i buy a dehumidifier.. i have no clue what the levels of humidity in my basement are.. should i buy one? My basement has stairs that lead directly to the living room with no door blocking my basement to my living room so i’m afraid if i do use it in my basement that it would also affect my living room. I’m getting tiny itchy bumps that are starting to cause a rash and I thinks its due to whatever amount of mold may be in my apt. I have a 30 pint dehumidifier but I think its too small for the whole place. Would another be a good idea or should I try an air purifier as well?
