I need to stop condensation from building up in my closed, below ground basement. It seems to be condensing on my domestic water copper piping from my well. I plan on insulating all the copper but also think I need a dehumidifier. The space is closed with concrete floor, cmu walls and is approximatly 700 SF.

I don’t use humidifiers in my house and I use the exhaust fans in the kitchen and bath when I cook or shower.

i am having problems with condensation in my 500 sqft garage especially when it goes from cold and warms up. i cant really add any ventilation but was thinking about a dehumidifier instead, itsnot heated in there, would the dehumidifier help get rid of the condensation? i have expensive cars in there that i need to keep nice!

We have a rather bad mold problem and live in a humid area of the country. Our windows are always covered in moisture unless the sun comes out and dries them off. We get mold in the corners of the ceiling adjancent to the outside. Would a dehumidifier help fix this? How much does one cost?

My wife suggested putting a box fan down there and let it circulate the air to help dry it, but I was thinking of setting a regular dehumidifier (not anything too high end) down there. I don’t have a fan that would fit or a dehumidifier, so I’d have to buy either. Which is the better option?
