What is the best make/model of dehumidifier?

single family home, 2K square feet. very humid tropical climate. not too expensive, but effective and low-maintenance.

planning to put the unit close to the intake vent for the a/c. so it doesn’t have to be “whole house” unit. i don’t care if it is noisy. i would like something effective and reliable

no more than $300 if possible.
